Fatburner
Fat burners: what you need to know
"Fat burners" are supplements based on caffeine, green tea, guarana, cayenne pepper, L-carnitine or CLA. Let's be clear: none of them makes you lose weight on its own. Weight loss relies on a reasonable calorie deficit, enough protein and regular physical activity; a burner can accompany that routine, not replace it.
Most formulas are stimulant-based, with caffeine. Our range includes Olimp Thermo Speed Extreme and Thermo Speed Hardcore, BioTech USA Mega Burner, Thermo Drine Liquid and Thermo Shot, Body Attack Lipo 100 (also in Fem and Hardcore versions), Stacker2 Black Burn and Stacker 4, Universal Nutrition Animal Cuts and Cobra Labs The Ripper. Olimp CLA & Green Tea plus L-Carnitine takes a different approach, and L-carnitine is also available on its own, as a drink or in ampoules.
With caffeine, caution is key: start with half a serving, do not take a burner late in the day, do not combine it with coffee or energy drinks, and do not exceed 400 mg of caffeine per day from all sources (EFSA guideline). These products are not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or people sensitive to caffeine. To build a balanced cutting phase, see our weight management range and our guide to the lowest-calorie proteins. Our advisers in Howald and Dudelange will help you choose according to your caffeine tolerance.
Frequently asked questions
Does a fat burner make you lose weight?
No, not on its own. It can accompany a balanced diet with a slight calorie deficit and regular activity, which remain the basis of any weight loss.
How much caffeine is in a fat burner?
It varies between products, often 100 to 300 mg per serving. The amount is shown on each product page: do not exceed 400 mg of caffeine per day, including coffee and energy drinks.
Are there caffeine-free burners?
Yes: formulas based on L-carnitine or CLA generally contain none. Check the ingredients on the product page or ask for advice in our shops.
